Part 1- Juliet is Just Around

HEY SAY JUMP’s practice for their next concert is already over. Johnny gave them a three-day vacation to have fun with their family and friends. Jump’s celebrated since they already finished everything for the concert. It’s already a decade since Yuto turned 10, three years passed since Hitomi no Screen’s first performance and Ryosuke wrote Shinku. It seems that everything happened yesterday. Just ‘YESTERDAY’ but they changed a lot.

Kieto: Bye!

[minna]: Sayonara!

Yuto: uhm, I need to go, too.

Ryosuke: matte Yuto-kun.

Yuto: uh?

Ryosuke: dozou.

Yuto: huh? What’s that book for?

Ryosuke: You asked me for that book, remember? (‘eternal romeo & juliet’)

Yaotome: woah! YUTO! I never knew~ When you started reading books?

Yuto: *smiles* I don’t know but I want to read this one.

Yabu: souka neh. Maybe three days is not enough to read that very thick book, huh?

Yuto: uh, that’s why I need to go. Minna, sayonara! Let’s just text each other neh.

[minna]: hai, Sayonara, Yuto!

As Yuto went home, he directly went to his bed and rest his eyes for a bit. He then stood up to read the book. He pulled his chair and put the book on the table. “Eternal Romeo and Juliet”. He opened to the page that caught his attention. ‘Secrets of Modern Romeo’. He read and does his best to understand the printed English words.

This may not be true but could be real. For those who trusted and seek, every road that you would face will be a new challenge for you. It might hide anywhere but only showed itself to its destined one.

Yuto suddenly laughed. He thought to himself that he would be so silly looking for the answer of that question and go to other countries just to look for that mysterious thing. Yuto closed the book, turned the lights off and went to bed. He easily fell asleep.

The following day, Yuto woke up by chirping of birds. He went down to eat. He saw his mom’s note on the table. ‘I’ll be out for some time, I prepared your breakfast. Hope you’ll like it’.

Yuto: I missed it mom! really.

He directly grab a spoon and a fork, and sits on the chair to eat.

Something’s bothering him. He don’t know what is it. He keeps in thinking as he chew his food thoroughly. The book suddenly flashed in his mind. He wanted to be involved in a little bit ‘mysterious’ case. He wanted to try and discover Romeo’s little secret. After eating his meal, he rushed to his room and get his pen. He thinks of some possible answers.

Yuto: For I might add knowledge to your brain and put mind on your heart. I just stayed in a silent place that almost everybody forgets. ah! Teacher? but, it just stayed in a silent place that everybody almost forgot. A grave? but add knowledge to your brain.. dang!! This is soo hard!. I really hate this stuff.!

He throw his things on the floor. The book fall down from his desk. He looked at the book carefully and analyze it.

Yuto: Book adds knowledge to my brain. It could put my mind on my heart by understanding what’s inside it. It also stayed in a silent place that everybody almost forgot and that’s the….. ah! Library!! So, I need to look for a book similar to this.

He first searched it on the public libraries. He first went to National Diet Library. He looked it everywhere but he can’t find one. He went to other libraries but he still can’t find one. He thought of looking it to fictions and novels. He also found some books related to Romeo and Juliet. One book caught his attention which is almost the same as ‘Eternal Romeo and Juliet’. He got the book and read it at the corner of the library. The library seemed dark and creepy. This library is very different from other public libraries in Japan. Only a few people just went inside in the library but nobody stayed long. He didn’t mind how creepy the area is, he opened the book and first read the preface of it. Then, he scan the book and he can’t believe that the books is filled with texts and not even a single image could be seen. He opened the first page of Chapter o1. The time seems to fast. He didn’t notice that it’s already eight in the evening. He keeps on reading and he can’t stop himself. The library would close at 8:30. Fifteen minutes left but Yuto couldn’t stop himself. He really don’t care on what will happen to him. Later, the guard checked the library. Yuto then hid behind tha boxes. After the guard checking the whole library, Yuto went back to the table to read again.

——-JOURNEY of JULIET

“A sudden lightning bolt shocked them and made them scream. They never knew but another dimension is waiting. Horses run toward the trees as the rain is pouring onto their skin. Juliet’s friend felt her cold tears and warm breath. Juliet departed from her. She went to the fields as she let the rain fell onto her.”

Yuto heard the rain pouring outside. He stood up and stretched his arms. He rabbed the food from his bad and eats while he’s reading.

“The following day, the people noticed that Juliet is not around. They looked everywhere but they couldn’t find her. Juliet just went to the woods to feel the cold air and feed the rabbits. As she walked, she noticed a river that she haven’t seen before. The water seems clear and clean. She put her hands on the water and slightly bent her head to drink. She closed her eyes to feel the taste of the water  but she was shocked that when she opened her eyes, she couldn’t see anything except darkness. She walked and walked until she saw a light. She continued and found an entrance. She then went out from the scary cave.”

Yuto continued reading but when he turned to the next page, he couldn’t see any text or the continuation of the story. He became shocked since he scanned the book before he read it and he saw the texts clearly. He became scared.

/Yuto/: How come the story is so short? So weird, book that ends on the second page? This is quite creepy, huh.

He keeps on thinking how weird the book is until he falls asleep.

“saw shadow of a girl under a tree whispering his name”

He suddenly woke up, a very short dream in a very long night. The library isn’t open yet. He saw the guard checking the library again. He then hides where he hid last night. When the guard is gone, he went out and asked permission to borrow the book. He left his identification card and went home. While heading home, he saw a girl wearing a weird dress at the center of the street. He ran and saved her from those cars. Then he left the girl. He continued walking but the girl is still following him.

(girl): Excuse me? Will you take me back home?

Yuto: [nihonggo]neh! You’re already old enough to go home. Can’t you go home by yourself. And! I’m too busy to head you home.

(girl): I’m sorry, but I can’t understand you.

Yuto: eeeeh?

(girl): What’s your name?

Yuto: /ohh. nosebleed. she’s so fluent in English/. nemu wa?

(girl): yeah?

Yuto: Yuto Nakajima desu.

(girl): Yuto Nakajima desu? ah! nice to meet you Yuto Nakajima desu!

Yuto: huh? *confusion on his face*

(girl): I am Juliet. Hope we’ll be friends.

Yuto became shocked. It seems that Juliet in the book is in front of him. He expected that Juliet would look like an English girl but Juliet looks like a Japanese girl that speaks in English.

/Yuto/: naaaaaaaah! What am I thinking? baka. baka.!! Stop imagining those weird fantasies Yuto!!
