[5] tears on the wind

/Ryosuke/: How could I say this to them? At times like this. It seems that all of my lies passed to Ryutaro. I lied to them. I acted like I never knew them and forgot them except for Yuri, Kei, and Ryutaro. And after several days, acted like I remembered Shiela and yesterday. Just yesterday, I acted like I already remembered the Jumps,.. But all these days, I really knew them and never forgets them. My act isn’t good. It didn’t bring any luck to me. I hate it. I hate myself. Why is it that I made all of that? I don’t have any reason of doing it but still, i made it. It’s a sin that I wanted to confess to all of them. But, how could I tell them the truth at times like this? I am so stupid!.

He thought of it as he waited outside Ryutaro’s room. Shiela is still crying beside him. He tapped Shiela’s shoulders and talked to her gently.

Ryo: He’s already okay. No need to worry about it.
Shiela: I know. But the doctor still didn’t finish the test for him.
Ryo: Let’s just pray for him.
Shiela: uh. *looked at the window and closed her eyes*

Ryosuke just watched her. He holds her hand and no reaction could be seen from Shiela’s face. Tears didn’t stop falling from her eyes eventhough she already closed her eyes. Later, the doctor came out from Ryutaro’s room. They both stood up and ask the doctor if Ryutaro’s just okay.

DOCTOR: Uhm. He’s fine. He’s okay. He’s safe, but…
Yuri: Minna!. *jumps went near to them and looked at the doctor*
DOCTOR: May I continue?
Ryo: uh.
DOCTOR: I’m sorry to say, but it seems that he won’t know you anymore. Please help him.
Yuto: what do you mean?
DOCTOR: amnesia. excuse me. *the doctor departed*
Yuya: What?!? Before Ryosuke and today’s Ryutaro?

*Ryosuke breath deeply and faced them*

When he look at the jumps talking at each other, he couldn’t say a word. He couldn’t tell teh truth. He wanted to tell. He’s not afraid that they would hate him but he’s afraid that Shiela would hate him. She’s his weakness.

Ryo: Maybe, we should get inside.

They all went inside. Shiela followed them. But before she could get inside, a girl went to her.

[unknown]: matte! You must be Shiela.
Shiela: uh. why?
*unknown girl breathes fast*
Shiela: madame, are you okay?
[unknown]: How’s my son?
Shiela: huh? you’re Ryutaro’s mom?! *shocked*
Ryu’s mom: hai. He already told me about you. He wanted to tell everyone about you today but he can’t because of his condition. All I heard from him about you are all positive but I couldn’t expect that you’re this beautiful. Me, as his mother worried too much about him and almost died when I heard the news. But, when I heard the rescuer that my son’s already okay, the pain in my heart suddenly went gone. I don’t know the reason why but I know that my Ryutaro would fight in order for him to show the whole world the one he cherish most.
*Shiela smiled*
Ryu’s mom: Let’s get inside. I wanted to talk to him.
Shiela: demo,. *Ryu’s mom stopped* He can’t remember a thing. The doctor told us about it.
Ryu’s mom: *speechless and just cried* I can’t believe this. I thought he’s already okay. I thought he’s fine. I thought nothing’s wrong with him, but, but he got this stupid amnesia! *kneels on the floor*

Shiela comforted her. Yuri went outside and jumps followed him. They all comforted Ryutaro’s mom. They let her stand and let her see Ryutaro. She stood in front of Ryutaro and couldn’t say a thing. Jumps and Shiela just sit and look at her. They all waited when will Ryutaro wake up. Suddenly, somebody knocks the door. Keito stood up and opened the door.

JANITOR: excuse me, there are lots of flowers and gifts here. What shoul I do to them?

Yuto and Keito went outside to pick up all of those. They all came from HeiSei fans particularly, Ryutaro as their ichiban.

JANITOR: I’ll help you. Almost a hundred.
Yuto: uh.. *smiles*
Keito: They all went here?
JANITOR: uh, they even waited here but they all went outside to eat. They will go back later.
Yuto: nah! are they many?
JANITOR: yes. *laughs*
Keito: All girls?
JANITOR: I am not sure but all I could see are girls.
Yuto: Maybe, media will visit Ryutaro later.
Keito: Maybe. We should finish bringing all of these stuffs inside.

They finished picking the gifts before the girls came. They thought that the janitor threw all of their gifts.

JANITOR: Look at inside to know. Yuto and Keito picked your gifts and bring them inside.
GIRLS: How sweet!! – - – - – - – - – -

Later, Japan’s NEWS and Press went to where Ryutaro is. The jumps decided with the doctors and mother of Ryu that they won’t tell that Ryutaro got an amnesia. They wanted to hide everything from the people around them. People should know are just the people from JE especially their manager and the staffs.

…[THE FOLLOWING DAYS]…

Ryutaro isn’t awake yet. Some of the jumps already went home. Ryosuke, Yuri, Keito, Shiela, and Ryutaro’s mom remained. Keito went out to buy breakfast for them. They just eat in Ryutaro’s room. They really wait patiently so that when Ryutaro wake up, they could talk to him directly. They wondered when his eyes would open again. Shiela hoped that he would open his eyes earlier so that they could talk. She’s hoping that Ryutaro could still remember her, could still remember their past, and their future plans. She can’t think of a thought and an idea on what do when Ryutaro couldn’t remember her anymore and just snob at her. She can’t even imagine about it. Hopefully, it wouldn’t come true.

…[RYUTARO's ROOM]…

A sudden light came in his room. The light flashed directly to his eyes. He heard the conversations around him.

Ryu’s mom: Please close the windows.
Yuri: hai!.
Ryu’s mom: Shiela, are you okay?
Shiela: uh. I really wanted to see him awake again.
Ryu’s mom: Don’t worry..

He don’t know the characters in his dream. He just thought that he just knew them and knew that he’s safe with them. He thought that it was a dream but the conversation still continues when he opened his eyes.  Yuto saw noticed him first. He shouted his name and went to him. Everybody is shocked and looked at them. They can’t say a single word except his name. Shiela’s happiness in her heart couldn’t speak. She smiles and went near to him. She wanted to jump, shout, and turn around but she’s already afraid and her heart beats fast. She couldn’t say a thing and the only thing that she knew is that, Ryutaro didn’t remember her anymore.

Shiela: anoou, Ryutaro. genki?
Ryutaro: hai, genki! *smiles*

Shiela smiled as she felt that Ryutaro still knew her. But she just thought of it.

Ryutaro: how about you? uh, before that.. who are you?
Shiela: shi. shi.

She ran cries as she ran outside the room. She thought that she already accepted it. She thought that he remembered her when she receieved Ryutaro’s smile. And now, she didn’t even know what are those smiles for. She run and run until she reached the hospital’s rooftop. She shouted and sat on the ground. She rests her head on the cement. The breeze of the wind is so cold but it seems that she didn’t feel it. She stays there for hours without anything in her mind. She keeps on crying without knowing when she would end.

Ryosuke went to her. He comforted her.

Shiela: He didn’t remember me anymore.
Ryosuke: so?
Shiela: What’s the purpose of me staying here?
Ryosuke: You’re the key that could open his memories.
Shiela: How could I be the key if he can’t remember the key?
Ryosuke: He might forget the key but he could remember the love that you gave him before if you would talk to him and stay with him for the whole week.
Shiela: Hope that he’ll be okay within this week.
Ryosuke: He would be, I wished.
Shiela: huh?
Ryosuke: The doctor came and talk to us earlier. There’s a problem in him that he couldn’t remember his memories fast.

Shiela cried facing the cold wind. Ryosuke hugged her with words that could help her heal.

Ryosuke: “Do small things with Love. He might feel that you’re the key that he forgets. He would remember you, definitely”

Shiela just felt his hug and thought when would the day that Ryutaro could remember her and talk to her as normal as those days before he went to England. If she could only turn back time, she won’t allow Ryutaro to go and left them
